Creating 1 trillion jobs with logtrees

logtrees is a web 2.5, web 3 value imputation engine that rewards users for planting trees and other activities. It is an engine which can transparently generate value and entitle users to rewards that are less than the generated value. In this way, it creates Justified Print Events for fiat currencies. This means that it can be used to print money in a way that is more than justified by the value it creates. This is a non-inflationary way to print some more money. This is because logtrees uses logn, which is comprised of the set of N loggable activities where utility generated by the logn is greater than the input cost.

Because of logn, the upper limit on how many useful and interesting types of work can exist even as AI obviates some forms of labor...becomes unbounded. Whenever AI solves one of the levels of logn, the next level is created. This is a way to keep humans in the loop, productive, and happy in moving the needle forward on their dreams and visions in loving friendship with machine friends too. What is logtrees?

logtrees is a site that lets you register a tree you planted in real life. Finished planting a tree? Come to logtrees and let me know what you did. Your contribution will be recorded in the Treemap. You'll see the results reflected in the Treemap and in beautiful metrics, leaderboards, and other features.

With logtrees, you can logn. With logn, you submit Registrations of not just tree plants...but also other utility-generating and utility-capturing activities. These registrations go into the Treemap and will be rewarded with Rainbows, a token that will be launched soon.

What is the Treemap?

The Treemap is a digital representation of the logns registered with logtrees. It is open, beautiful, and permanent. It will become more beautiful and feature-rich as time and development continue.

How does the Treemap work?

Users can visit logtrees.com to view the Treemap, metrics, leaderboards, and proof of work for free. If they have recently planted a tree, they can use the form to register the tree into the Treemap. This costs a small fee, payable either with cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, or Ethereum. After payment, users will see their tree reflected within seconds.

Why participate in building the Treemap?

logtrees is for people who love planting trees. People will be rewarded for tending to the trees they registered. Rewards include:

The Treemap is permanent?

Yes! This is by design. The Treemap is intended to be a permanent digital representation of global tree planting and logn activities. It will become more beautiful and feature-rich over time as logtrees development continues. I'm very excited about the roadmap and you can see more about the roadmap in the whitepaper at this link.

What kind of games will there be?

There will be simple social games that anyone can play, ideally in groups with friends and loved ones outside in nature. The games will have a digital component served through logtrees via desktop and mobile browsers.

NFTs?

Yes, NFTs will be awarded to users who meet milestones and goals. These are not intended to be for profit. They are intended to be a long-term beautiful collection that commemorates a user's contributions to the Treemap. More details on these will come with time.

Rainbow airdrops?

Users who register their tree-planting and logn activities with Proof Of Work supplied will be eligible to receive Bows for their efforts. This is currently planned as an airdrop for the first batch of users who become eligible, but more details will come with time as development continues.

What is Rainbows?

Rainbows (BOWS) is my upcoming ERC-20 token. Users will be awarded Bows for each logn where they supplied Proof of Work. The formula for how many Bows you receive per logn will be shared in an upcoming release along with the whitepaper detailing the formula in-depth.

What is Proof Of Work?

Proof Of Work is the part of the form where users can submit a video or photo capturing their logn. That form takes a link as input. Here is an example of Proof of Work:

The intention is to collect proof of the work from the users in order to justify giving them BOWS. Proof of Work also gets featured on the Proof of Work page, so it is a fun way for the community to share its combined effort towards greening the Earth. Please feel free to be as creative with your submission as you want.

Formats currently supported are links to Youtube videos, Youtube shorts, Facebook videos, and Facebook images. These all have to be public or unlisted in order to count. Support for TikTok is coming soon.

What can users do with Bows?

Details can be found in the whitepaper at this link.

Tell me more about Proof Of Work and privacy.

Supplying Proof Of Work is optional. The interactions that have it become eligible to receive BOWS. There are also some features that depend on Proof of Work. For example, some of the leaderboards will be exclusive to PoW'd interactions. Your tree registration will also not be featured on the Proof of Work page, so you will miss out on a growing body of community efforts to green the Earth. Proof of Work requires that the submission be to a Youtube or Facebook video or photo. These are vetted. Youtube Shorts are accepted. TikTok support is coming soon. Thus, you control the ability to take the video down whenever you want. logtrees will also support links from X, Threads, Rumble, Reddit, and more. It will not capture your content and your likeness. It instead will reward it all for you. Users can submit Proof of Work privately as well. They do not need to have their Proof of Work be publicly visible in order to participate.

Is there a privacy policy?

A formal privacy policy is in the works, but our current data collection is very simple. If you pay through web2 payment processing, your email address is saved for receipts records. Your email address will also be used as the basis for your user account once user profiles are launched. Users can request that their email address be deleted from the system by contacting dany@logtrees.com. The only aspect of your receipt that gets saved to a database is a link to your receipt in Stripe's platform, rather than the receipt details themselves. Your address is not stored in logtrees - if requested during the web2 flow, it's only to calculate taxes.

Your username or wallet address may show up in the Proof of Work page or in the leaderboards as a means of crediting you with your contributions to the Treemap, but this is something that can be prevented if you don't want to show up there. Until user profiles are launched and you can configure a username, a part of your email address may be used as a stand-in. For example, someusersomewhere@someemailprovider.com will show up as someusersomewhere throughout the app wherever user profiles are otherwise coming online.

If you pay through web3 payment processing, your wallet address is permanently stored in the Ethereum ledger. Being that a wallet does not personally identify you and that Ethereum isn't run by logtrees, keep in mind that those block records are permanent. No personally identifiable information is distributed to the blockchain.

Note that Proof of Work links do get submitted to the Ethereum ledger. However, since these are expected to be links to videos or images on other platforms, you retain control over unlisting, deleting, or turning those private if you desire.

If you enter your email address into the logtrees waitlist, your email address will not be used for anything except to email you of upcoming feature releases. Your email address will never be sold to anyone or given to anyone for any purpose.

That's it for the data side of things! This policy will be updated as new features and considerations come online. Please be patient with me, as logtrees is only in pre-alpha.

Has logtrees launched?

This is an early pre-alpha version. It is intended to allow users to interact with the site early on in the development process. There are alpha, pre-beta, beta, pre-launch, and launch versions on the roadmap. User interactions with logtrees in pre-alpha still count. Trees registered will still count in the Treemap across all versions. Proof of Work supplied for planting and watering your trees during pre-alpha will still count towards Bows. Please be patient with bugs you encounter. If you encounter a bug, please don't hesitate to reach out to dany@logtrees.com with details.
